Overview

What I do here
Ilumnis assignments covered web, desktop, and data-acquisition work on long-running client systems. Typical responsibilities included:
- Building and maintaining ASP.NET web applications with AJAX-driven interactive UIs
- Developing Borland Delphi desktop applications for internal and client-facing use
- Implementing scraping and parsing pipelines for AMTRAV travel portals — extracting, normalizing, and keeping data current as source sites changed
- Working directly with foreign clients on requirements, updates, bug fixes, and production support
- Adapting extraction logic when airline and travel platforms changed structure, pricing systems, or markup
Domains
Most of the sustained client work sat in transportation and travel — aggregating flight and travel data from multiple providers for downstream products. Alongside that, delivery included general web and desktop applications on the Microsoft and Delphi stacks for business and operational tooling.
How I work
- Multi-stack delivery — Comfortable moving between ASP.NET web apps, Delphi desktop clients, and dedicated scraping/data tools as the product needed
- Long-lived systems — Much of the work was ongoing maintenance and evolution, not greenfield-only: keeping scrapers working as external sites changed, and extending existing applications
- Client-facing communication — Regular contact with international clients on scope, changes, and production issues
- Data reliability — Attention to parsing edge cases, site-structure drift, and keeping extracted data accurate for downstream use
