Today

I'm a senior software engineer based in Serbia, working remotely-friendly roles with a focus on full-stack delivery — from requirements through testing and maintenance. Day to day that means designing APIs and UIs, keeping coding standards high, and collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.

I care about clear architecture, practical problem-solving, and software that stays maintainable after the first ship. Technologies change; curiosity and craft do not.

How I got here

My journey into software began in 1986, when my parents gave me a Commodore 64, complete with a joystick. 🎮 The manual was in German, which I didn't understand, so I typed mysterious lines from the last pages, pressed Return, and watched a tiny parachutist float across the screen. It felt like magic.

That spark led to a humble to-do list with a jumping animation — not revolutionary, but enough to start a lifelong habit of building things. A few years later I sold the Commodore for a guitar. 🎸 Before long I was spending more weekends on stage than behind a keyboard. After high school I studied Electrical Engineering, then found my way back to programming on a PC — learning from magazines, compiler docs, and trial and error long before online courses existed. 💡

Programming stayed a hobby for years: tools for myself, friends, and the local community. Along the way I worked in agriculture, edited video for a local TV station, and managed quality control in manufacturing. ⚙️ Those jobs taught adaptability and the value of understanding the people behind every process.

In 2007, the hobby became the profession. Since then I've spent every day designing, building, and improving software — still driven by the same curiosity that made me type those first lines nearly four decades ago.

Outside of work

Away from the keyboard you'll most likely find me with a guitar or bass — occasionally behind a drum kit, at least until family or neighbors decide the concert is over. ❤️😇
